Modesto – Landing an important demonstration of approval from the public safety community, Assemblywoman Kristin Olsen (R-Modesto) announced today that she has secured the support of Stanislaus County Sheriff Adam Christianson.
Christianson, who has served as Sheriff since 2006, is well known for his strong leadership and effective public safety management.
“Kristin Olsen is a champion of safe communities and public safety departments,” said Sheriff Christianson. “She’s focused on making sure we have adequate resources and support. I am looking forward to Kristin’s continued work in the Legislature.”
“Public safety is one of my top priorities,” remarked Olsen. “It is the primary responsibility of government and should be immune to the effects of irresponsible budgeting and budget cut scare tactics. I am grateful for Sheriff Christianson’s confidence and support.”
In the Assembly, Olsen currently holds the position of Minority Whip, and has earned a reputation for reform, transparency, and hard work. Olsen is a member of the Assembly Insurance; Agriculture; and Joint Sunset Review committees. She is also Vice Chair of the Higher Education committee.
Olsen was born and raised in the Central Valley. She and her husband, Rod, have three children, and live in Modesto.
