Modesto – Assemblywoman Kristin Olsen (R-Modesto) announced today that the entire Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors has endorsed her re-election. Olsen is running in Assembly District 12.
Supervisors Vito Chiesa, Jim DeMartini, Dick Monteith, William O’Brien and Terry Withrow have all chosen to support Assemblywoman Olsen.
“Kristin is key in making sure our area is effectively represented in the State Legislature,” said DeMartini. “She’s fought for some of our more rural areas when their services were cut and got them back. She has my full confidence.”
“Kristin has been able to work with both sides of the aisle while working to lower taxes and cut spending,” said current Board Chairman O’Brien. “If the State Legislature were made up of several Kristin Olsens, I doubt our state would be in the mess it is in,” said O’Brien.
In the Assembly, Olsen currently holds the position of Minority Whip, and has earned a reputation for reform, transparency, and hard work. Olsen is a member of the Assembly Insurance; Agriculture; and Joint Sunset Review committees. She is also Vice Chair of the Higher Education committee.
Olsen was born and raised in the Central Valley. She and her husband, Rod, have three children, and live in Modesto.
